ANGIE’S BED AND BREAKFAST INN
1704 MARKET STREET
WILMINGTON, NC 28401

If you are looking for a great catering location, bed and breakfast inn, and a special events location, look no farther than Angie’s Bed and Breakfast Inn, located at 1704 Market Street in Wilmington. It was constructed in 1918.

Opened over fifty years ago for its current purposes, this beautiful mansion is the former home of famous Wilmington war hero Walter Blumenthal. Look for a future article from me on this great man.

Angie’s is owned and operated by Evangeline Angela Frankos and Christos

Petros. Both are aged 79, and their daughter Eppy. Angie was known as “Jeanie” when she was young from a Greek family growing up in the Sunset Park area of Wilmington from conservative means. She and her family are very well known for owners and operators of Chris’ Restaurant and Angie’s Catering, located at 17th and Dawson Streets in Wilmington.

Despite coming from modest means, Angie, Chris and family area al self-made success stories with a substantial net worth. Their hard work ethic and commitment to her family and the community is admirable.

This beautifully furnished, upscale, residential facility features living space for Angie and her husband Chris, special events space, and residential bed and breakfast facilities. Located in the heart of Wilmington’s Mansion District, the facility is well-located and accessible from Market Street, with a rear exit on Perry Street (between 17th and 18th Streets). Adequate parking is available. Please refer to included photographs.

Angie was born in 1946 in James Walker Memorial Hospital in Wilmington. Angie and Chris (Christos P. Tsingelis) met and got married at an early age at New Hanover High School. Chris is originally from Greece. He came to the US at age 16 years old. They have four children, all active in the catering and restaurant business:

Eppy (Elpetha Tsingelis Paulson) has two children and one grandchild

Andrew Tsingelis has no children

Petros has two children

Niki-one child

The size of building is 3,800 square feet.

The space use includes:

Three rooms for business on second floor and one on third

Two sunrooms, one on second and one on first

Master bedroom, addition to master bedroom (his and her)

Living room, dining room, receiving room

6 bathrooms for guests

Where do her guests come from? All over US, England, Australia, and other locations.

Angie reports that business is good.

You owe it to yourself to check out this wonderful location!
